Overview

LatePoint Calendar Booking Plugin for WordPress <= 5.4.1 contains a privilege escalation caused by missing authorization check in connect-customer-to-wp-user execute() method, letting authenticated latepoint_agent role attackers link customers to admin accounts and reset passwords, exploit requires attacker to have latepoint_agent role.

Authenticated attackers with latepoint_agent role can take over administrator accounts, leading to full site compromise.

Mitigation

Update to a version later than 5.4.1 or the latest available version.
